| ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar organised a three day training programme on “Vermicompost production for chemical-free homestead farming by women farmers” under SCSP from 16th -18th September 2026 at Baliguda, Kandhamala district. |
| The training was conducted at Kanjamandi Panchayat Samiti, K. Nuagaon, Kandhamala district. During the programme the women farmers of SC community were sensitized about the importance of vermin-compost in the chemical free homestead farming. Demonstration of production of vermin-compost by using the vermi-bed was conducted. Women farmers were made aware about the livelihood generation and economic benefit through vermicompost production. Fifty beneficiaries (7men and 43women) from different villages of Baliguda, Rutangia, Battaguda, Tumudibandha, Belghar, and Bilamal participated in this programme. |
| The programme was attended and graced by the presence of Mrs. Ahalya Pradhan (Former Sarapancha, Sarangagada), Mr. Tutul Behera (Secretary, Nutan Sakala, Social Service Organisation, Rasakudi, Parikud, Puri). |
