Awareness Programme of ICAR –CIWA on Livelihood opportunities and distribution of agricultural inputs to Women SC farmers @ Bharat ka Amrut Mahostav

The ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar organized an “Awareness programme for farm women on various livelihood opportunities in agriculture in the post Covid scenario at Chitra village, Nimapada block of Puri District, Odisha on 29 July 2021 by following appropriate Covid guidelines. On this occasion, various women friendly tools like easy harvest bags, hand weeder, sprayers and improved sickles were demonstrated to the farmers. During the programme, agricultural inputs were distributed to 40 SC women farmers under the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP)” scheme. The programme was coordinated by Dr. A. K. Panda, Pr. Sci., Er. Chaitrali Mhatre, Scientist, and Er. Pragati Rout, Tech. Asst. The programme was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence..
