Under the ICAR-CIWA-IRRI collaborative project a training programme on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Program for Women in Agriculture (LEAP) was conducted at ICAR-CIWA campus during 21-24 February 2018. Eighteen (18) women participants comprising assistant agricultural officers from State Government of Odisha participated in the training programme. The objective of the training programme was to give the participants an invaluable sense of their own potential as leaders and change-makers in society. The training programme was concluded on 24 February 2018. Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Director, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar was the chief guest during the valedictory function. Dr. Srivastava in his concluding remarks emphasized about the initiatives of the government and the role of participants in empowering the women farmers. The programme ended with distribution of certificates to the participants.
