DDG (Education), ICAR, Dr. N. S. Rathore visited ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar

The foundation stones were laid for the “Women Farmers Hostel’’ and “Technology Park” by Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore, Honbl’e Deputy Director General, Education, ICAR, New Delhi at ICAR-CIWA campus on 28-07-2016. The Video conferencing system of ICAR-CIWA was inaugurated by the Honbl’e DDG, Education and simultaneously an Interaction Meet was organized. At the outset, Dr. Jatinder Kishtwaria, Director, ICAR-CIWA welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the achievements of the institute. The DDG in his address pointed out the agricultural status and issues in India and the significance of farm women in agricultural production and productivity. He also stressed upon the national and global expectations on research output of this unique institute exclusively working for ‘Women in Agriculture’. On this auspicious occasion, the Directors/Heads of the sister institutes at Bhubaneswar like ICAR-CIFA, ICAR-IIWM, ICAR-CTCRI, ICAR-CHES and ICAR-CARI, distinguished scientists and media personnel also participated. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIWA.
