International Day of Yoga observed at ICAR-CIWAThe International Day of Yoga was observed at ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar on 21st June 2015. The Yoga day concept took shape after our Honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi Ji, a Yoga practitioner himself, spoke about the benefits at the UN General Assembly in November, 2014. A few months later, Yoga has come to be accepted throughout the globe as a phenomenon, and UN has declared 21st June as International Day of Yoga. Across the world, 193 countries celebrate this day. |

As part of this Day, cutting across all age groups, the staff members of ICAR-CIWA along with their families participated in the Yoga session between 7:00 and 7:30 hrs on 21st June, 2015, at the ICAR-CIWA premises. Awareness was also created among the participants about the goodness of Yoga.
