Dr. A. K. Singh, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension), ICAR, New Delhi visited the ICAR- Central Institute for Women in Agriculture (ICAR-CIWA), Bhubaneswar on 18th June 2015. On this occasion, Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Director (Acting), ICAR-CIWA extended a warm welcome to the Dignitary and briefed him about the research and extension activities carried out with gender perspectives through this Institute and the All-India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Home Science, and its ongoing projects on gender mainstreaming.

It was followed by an interactive session, in which the DDG advised the Scientists to have maximum collaboration with external Institutions, especially with the KVKs for better outreach. He also suggested to create a huge database on gender, and to keep the 'gender and nutrition integration' as its focus area in the Institute's projects. All the Scientific staff attended the meeting.
